Naval Outdoor Centre Germany(NOCG)
RN/RM Families Package
8 – 14 Aug and 15 – 21 Aug 2010

The NOCG is the Royal Navy's multi activity Outdoor Centre, located in the beautiful Allgau area of the Bavarian Alps in Southern Germany. During leave periods the Centre is able to provide bespoke holiday accommodation for Naval Service Families and will therefore be available for the weeks of the 8 – 14 and 15 - 21 Aug 10.

This initiative will be fully funded from non public money, support has already been given by the Sports Amenities and Benevolence Scheme and the remainder of the costs will be met by personal contributions from those participating, these will be rank ranged and the costs are detailed below.

In order to provide maximum flexibility for all and reduce the administrative workload to the Centre it is intended to offer half board accommodation and organisation support only. Families will make their own way to the Centre. A full programme of activities is available but all cost will be met from the families attending and this will be on a voluntary basis. The area is renown for walking, climbing, mountaineering, mountain and road biking and water sports.

These dates coincide with NOCG closing for summer leave, the NOCG civilian hotel staff will manage the package and also be responsible for advising and liaising with local providers. No service AT equipment will be available but local providers will be able to offer discounted rates for those attending.

All participating RN/RM Families will be strongly encouraged to have appropriate insurances, EHIC cover and will in effect be on holiday in Germany. The NOCG will in effect revert back to Haus Schwaben for this period, however, facilities funded by non public money will be available for use (sauna, volleyball court etc). The gym and CV suite will be made available but disclaimers will require to be signed by users and normal rules will apply.

In order to apply for a place you firstly need to be a member of the SABS scheme, then simply fill in the booking form or email FLEET-NOCG-ADMIN NCO or FLEET-NOCG-OC. Successful applicants will be notified by mid Jun 10, but you can bid for places up until the last minute if vacancies still exist.
