Summer Activities

Summer 2012

The Naval Outdoor Centre Germany (NOCG) is now accepting bookings for Summer of 2012. To enquire simply complete the booking form, alternatively you can contact us at FLEET-NOCG-OC or FLEET-NOCG-ADMIN NCO or by ringing the Centre on 0049 8324 953540 or 973415.

Our summer season will run from Sat 28 April, weekly, until Sat 3 Aug and then again from Sat 25 Aug until Sat 3 Nov 12.  Click here to see our intended programme of activities, you will notice that we are looking to respond to the demand to offer personnel the opportunity to complete Joint Service Proficiency courses as well as the mass participation multi activity programme enjoyed by so many in the past.  View the detailed summer programme (Word doc), identify vacancies and submit a booking.

We expect to once again be over subscribed and therefore ask that prior to submitting a booking Command authorisation and priority is given to your request.  Please also be aware that once allocations are made it is the booking unit's responsibility to fill their allocated places, unfilled places will be charged to allocated units at £50 per place.

It is intended to start the allocation process at the end of Mar 11 and all units that submit booking will be notified, we will also produce a reserve list for those weeks which are oversubscribed, as we will invariably see cancellations.  Please inform us at the earliest opportunity if you need to cancel or reduce your allocated places, failure to do so in time will result in a fine of £50 per unfilled place.

There is no cost for participating RN and RM personnel for the multi activity courses or for the Joint Service Proficiency courses, there will be a cost for Mountain bike courses and this will cover registration fee with MIAS and be dependant upon the level of course.  For those working in Joint organisations we will take non RN and RM personnel who form part of your team but they will need to pay a £75 contribution. If we are over subscribed for a week then priority will go to RN/RM Front line units. Participating units will need to get their personnel to the Dover passenger ferry terminal before 1800hrs on the Saturday and arrange transport back o/c on the following Saturday, further detail can be found in this web site and is included in the admin instruction.

Calling notices will be sent approximately 1 month prior to attendance with the administration order, we will also ask you for a nominal at this time.  Cancellation prior to this will not result in any financial penalties; cancellation after this time will result in a fine of £50 per unfilled place to allocated units.

My team and I look forward to working with you during this coming summer.

Maj Gellender
